Peer Review Process

Abditani: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat implements a rigorous peer review process to ensure the quality, validity, and integrity of every published article. Each submitted manuscript undergoes the following stages:

  1. Initial Editorial Screening

    • All submitted manuscripts are first evaluated by the Editorial Team to ensure their relevance to the journal’s focus, scope, and submission guidelines.

    • Manuscripts that do not meet the basic criteria will be returned to the authors without external review.

  2. Peer Review Process

    • Manuscripts passing the initial screening are sent to at least two reviewers who are experts in the relevant field.

    • The review process follows a double-blind policy, meaning both reviewers and authors remain anonymous throughout the process.

  3. Review Criteria
    Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on the following aspects:

    • Originality and contribution to the field of community service

    • Appropriateness of the method and analysis

    • Clarity of presentation and logical structure

    • Relevance and impact of results for the target community

  4. Editorial Decision
    Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the editor will make one of the following decisions:

    • Accepted without revision

    • Accepted with minor revisions

    • Accepted with major revisions

    • Rejected

    Authors will receive reviewers’ comments and are expected to revise the manuscript accordingly within the specified time frame.

  5. Final Review and Publication

    • After the revised manuscript is submitted, the editorial team will conduct a final check to ensure that all revisions have been made and that the paper meets the publication standards before it is published online.

  6. Review Timeline

    • The peer review process generally takes 4–8 weeks, depending on the number of submissions and reviewer availability.


Confidentiality and Review Ethics

All parties involved in the review process must maintain confidentiality regarding the manuscript’s content and may not use the information for personal advantage. Abditani: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat adheres to high standards of academic integrity and follows the ethical guidelines and best practices recommended by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).
